Vice President Regulatory Affairs - US & Canada Head


We have been exclusively retained to fill our client’s highest priority regulatory position – the role that is critical to the success of the entire company! As Head of US and Canada Regulatory Affairs, you will be the decision maker in this global organization most vitally influential in the key US pharma market, and your leadership will resonate through all divisions of the company. A high powered, high visibility position that is expected to step up into executive management, this role will put you at the head of NCEs, proprietary, and marketed products, as well as have you managing some of industry’s most well respected regulatory experts in their therapeutic franchises.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the regulatory strategies and tactical plans for the US and Canada.

  • Understands and articulates a deep US perspective across the pharmaceutical business/regulatory systems and the impact on all US products, markets and compound opportunities.

  • Anticipates the evolving regulatory environment to identify, prioritize and mitigate current and future regulatory risks.

  • Translates business needs into clear regulatory strategy objectives including development of US-based Regulatory Strategic and Tactical Plans and deliverables that are meaningful and easily understood by US commercial stakeholders.

  • Representing Canada on the Global Regulatory Product Teams and assisting in dossier development and defense.

  • Leads and directs staff of over 30 regulatory personnel who are experts in US regulatory including detailed knowledge and understanding of FDA and managing relationships with them.  

  • Ideally maintains an effective working knowledge of the Canadian Regulatory framework.

  • This position receives minimal direction from senior executive management and has the authority to determine how to best manage goals and objectives for the US area in alignment with the global product strategies.
