Senior Director / Director of Drug Safety
Seeking a bold safety MD to join a progressive organization made up
of some of most innovative minds in the industry. As the Senior
Director of Drug Safety you will be an integral member in a growing
company that proves their devotion to bringing safety to the
forefront by not only embracing safety culture from the top down
with a new VP of Safety, but also a teaching approach of mentoring
to internal groups so that the organization can unite from all
levels in understanding why the Agency places the demands on safety
that it does, and why first class drug safety is a vital organ in a
successful company.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and manage the proactive safety strategy and
all medical safety aspects of pharmacovigilance and medical risk
management for development, marketed products and studies.
Manage ongoing safety profile of products to maximize
the understanding of risks and benefits for prescribers,
patients, consumers and study subjects through proactive review
of all relevant pre- and post-marketing safety data, medical
analysis and decision making.
Lead the Safety Management Team to determine and advise
the course of action necessary to meet the safety goals and
objectives of specific products and projects.
Work in close collaboration
with cross-functional teams and
counterparts in regulatory labeling, clinical development,
pre-clinical, manufacturing/quality, epidemiology, and other
functional areas to identify, evaluate, and communicate safety
issues.
Required: MD, drug safety experience, ophthalmology or neurology
experience a plus!
Compensation: Competitive
